Solve the Crime

In this Solve the Crime assignment, I examined the Lonewolf E01 file using the Autopsy forensic application. I documented and reported the findings of the evidence within the file. It includes drive architecture, total disk space, number of partitions, file systems, user accounts, etc.

Data Carving

In a digital forensics investigation, data carving are file systems that can extract data from storage devices without the original file. Different file systems have their unique header and footer file signature. I utilized AccessData FTK Imager to examine word documents, excel spreadsheets, MP4, PDF, JPEG, and PNG files.

Operating Systems Forensics

I utilized AccessData FTK Imager and Autopsy to examine the Lewis-USB.dd file. I documented the findings such as hash values, file extensions, deleted files, and additional information found in the suspect's file. However, later in the document, there was a compelling piece of evidence that was found.
